The Pacifical PNA nations have been more than 10 years on a successful journey to make and keep the WCPO the GREENEST ocean for all tuna species ( 800,000 MT of PNA catch is MSC Eligible).
By putting the future of this most successful MSC fishery into the hands of the WCPFC, an RFMO that decides based on CONSENSUS, and has its progress continuously obstructed by a few laggards, is a slap in the face of our people, front runners in managing 25% of world’s tuna towards sustainability.
